Ariane V.33 - 8th August 1989 - 44 LP type rocket put into orbit the map-making satellite ESA Hipparcos nicknamed "arpenteur d’étoiles" star-land-surveyor.
This is the first satellite which used the Earth orbit parallax to measure distance between Earth and the stars near us.
